Man dies from gun shot, discovered at hospital after transport

SACRAMENTO, CA | Truck crashes through parking lot smashing into parked cars. At hospital, gun shot discovered and victim dies.

Pole stops South Sac Vehicle Pursuit

Downtown Fire Engulfs Commercial Structure

Fire Fighters battled a 4-Alarm Blaze that engulfed a commercial structure on 27th street early Thursday morning in Midtown Sacramento.

The fire burned the Sacramento Archdiocese Food Bank and threatened nearby buildings, but the 80 Sacramento City and Mutual Aid Firefighters fought to prevent the fire from spreading and worked quickly to put it out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Gassy Downtown

Sacramento, CA | Construction crew hits gas line in Downtown Sacramento. Over 50 homes evacuated.

Sacramento Fire Department  responded as a level Two Hazmat  and up to fifteen homes and one business were evacuated.   Read more »

Gunfire wounds one and hits homes

Sacramento, CA | A drive-by shooting in South Sacramento leaves one wounded and area homes pelted with gun fire.

Bullet pierces through door and strikes driver in butt-ox in drive-by shooting.

A drive-by shooting occurred in the 5500 block of Sampson Blvd Tuesday night in the evening. The victim was making a U-Turn in front of his home on Sampson when suspects in a dark colored sedan opened fire on his vehicle with a large caliber weapon, per SacPD spokesman. Several rounds hit the victims vehicle shattering the passenger and drivers side glass. One round went through the passenger side door striking the victim in the buttocks. Read more »

Water Main Break in Del Paso Heights

Sacramento Fire Department investigates the vandalized water main.

Sacramento Fire responded early Tuesday morning to a report of flooding in the area behind a business on Del Paso Blvd.

Fire crews arrived to find a broken water main that had been vandalized and quickly worked to stop the pipe from spraying water on the street.  No arrests have been made.

South Sacramento, CA | Per SacPD, copper theft crimes are becoming common place.

Copper thieves get a surprise when water flow alarm activates.

Early Monday morning, SacPD was called to Payless Shoes on Stocktong Blvd across KMart, for a ringing alarm. It turns out that the ringing alarm was a water flow alarm that was activated when thieves attempted to strip the store of it’s outer and roof top copper pipes. During the attempt, they broke a water line that activated the water flow alarm. Read more »

Carmichael Neighborhood rocked by Fatal Hit and Run

Witnesses says the accident "rocked the neighborhood."

One person is dead after a fatal hit-and-run accident Sunday evening in Carmichael.

A Pickup truck was left completely obliterated on Fair Oaks Boulevard at Kenneth.  One witness told a SacMav reporter that he spoke with the occupant of the vehicle, comforting him after the accident until he died.
