Auto theft perp apprehended after foot pursuit

Parkway South, Sacramento, CA | A suspects suspicious activity leads to foot pursuit and capture.

Per CHP Officer David Woodruff, he witnessed an individual stripping tires off of a vehicle. When he attempted to make contact, the subject fled and a foot pursuit ensued. The subject was apprehended a few minutes later without incident Woodruff stated.

Sprinklers save restaurant from fiery fate

South Natomas, Sacramento, CA | Fire suppression sprinklers save South Natomas Chinese restaurant Early Friday morning a fire broke out in the House of Changs Chinese Restaurant in the kitchen area. Per Sac City Fire, a stack of trays caught fire next to a cooker. The fire suppression sprinkler activated and kept the fire under control. The on scene Battalion Chief classified the fire as minor with minimal damage.

Fire engulfs Sacramento home

Sacramento, CA | Fire engulfed a large home in the Del Paso area in Sacramento early Friday morning.

Before firefighters could arrive, fire had taken over a home on Traction Avenue early Friday morning. Initially it was thought that someone was in structure and rescue attempts were made, however the second floor of home was filled with smoke and fire. No one was in the structure and there were no injuries to firefighters or civilians. More details to come.

3 black male adults, armed, at large after gunpoint robbery

Sacramento, CA | A South Sacramento liquor store was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night.

A robbery at gunpoint occurred late Wednesday night at the liquor store Franklin and 44th Ave. Per unconfirmed radio reports, the store was robbed by 3 black male adults wearing masks and all armed with handguns. The suspects remain at large.

Deputies investigate drive-by shooting incident

North Highlands, Sacramento, CA | Deputies investigate drive-by shooting in northern Sacramento neighborhood.

Early Wednesday morning, 10 gunshots rang out in the area of  Rosario and El Oro Streets. A house and 3 cars were shot at which woke up the neighborhood. No injuries occurred. The Sheriff’s Department  was on scene investigating for several hours.

Vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest in the clover leaf section

Sacramento, CA | A passenger and ejected driver survived a crash with multiple rollovers on Highway 99.

Just before midnight Friday evening, a vehicle traveling north bound on Highway 99 lost control at the 47th East exit area, stated Steven Blanco who witnessed the whole incident.  He stated vehicle rolled several times off the freeway, across the on ramp and into the middle of the clover leaf section, ejecting the driver several feet from the vehicle.
