SacPD investigates attempted bank robbery in the Arden area of Sacramento

Sacramento, CA | Failed bank robbery in the Aden area may be linked to other Northern California bank robberies.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, at approximately 9:45 Friday morning, a subject in a mask and a vest with a star on it attempted to access the Tri Counties Bank, at 1760 Challenge Way, via the back door.

The subject knocked at the back door and when employees checked through the peep hole they became suspicious of the person and alerted authorities.

The subject was gone when units arrived. A similar bank robbery incidient was taking place in Modesto as CSI and detectives were investigating this incident. It is unknown if the two incidents were related or if related to the recent similar bank robbery in Chino.
