Drowning Accident Rescue Team sharpens their skills

DART diver prepares to go down and execute a training exercise in the flowing, murky, Sacramento River
Sacramento, CA | As the heat turns up, so does the ratio on drowning potentials on Sacramento’s waterways.
Tuesday evening, DART Team members conducted a training exercise in the Sacramento River at the Broderick Boat Ramp in West Sacramento. The team trained on manual dexterity by diving down and working with commonly found entanglements under water. They also worked on rope signals which is their sole source of communicating between diver and land. DART (Drowning Accident Rescue Team) is a non-profit organization. Divers and team members are volunteers. Visit their site at http://dartsac.org/
