30 Min PAL Pursuit ends in wreck

Officers hold possible armed parolee at gunpoint after 30 minute pursuit.

Sacramento, CA | SacPD and assisting agencies take a 30 minute high-speed tour of Sacramento chasing a parolee at large (PAL).

Early Saturday morning, Sacramento Police Department officers engaged a pursuit with a known parolee at large assumed to be armed and dangerous. The pursuit lasted about thirty minutes according to Lieutenant Brown, SacPD, and involved California Highway Patrol officers and Sacramento Sheriff deputies in addition to their own units.

The chase ran through the streets of Rio Linda in the Grand Ave area, then up and down Watt Ave, onto West Business 80, transitioned to East Bound Highway 50 with the suspect eventually crashing his car at the intersection of Bradshaw Road and Oates Drive with his female passenger.

The passenger suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital and the PAL was transported to jail.
