Firefighters stand ready as PG&E crews fix a broken gas pipe in a home in the North City Farms neighborhood of South Sacramento

Sacramento firefighters and PG&E responded to the 4400 Block of Jeffrey Ave Tuesday for a broken gas pipe at a residence. PG&E had to call in their heavy equipment to take care of the line as firefighters stood by with charged hose lines just in case things got explosive.
