southbound I-5 in Downtown Sacramento.
The driver of a dry hauler tractor-trailer rig jackknifed while attempting to avoid a collision that occurred in front of him near the

William Carl Gardner III, 30- years-old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 186 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and tan pants with side pockets.
Sacramento Police assist Winters Police Homicide detectives in North Sacramento.
Area law enforcement are searching for William Carl Gardner III who may be in Sacramento.
Police say Gardner shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, 32-year-old Leslie Pinkston, Monday morning in Downtown Winters.
The vehicle Gardner was last seen in was found Monday night near Silverton Way and Gunnison Ave. in North Sacramento and a home in the area was searched by the Sacramento Police Department but Gardner was not located. (more…)
The Sacramento Fire Department and California Highway Patrol assisted the driver and passenger out of an overturned SUV Tuesday morning along southbound Highway 99 near Fruitridge Rd.
The driver from the rollover incident was transported to a local hospital for injuries to a few of his fingers witch were reportedly amputated during the crash, the passenger was also transported in unknown condition. (more…)

reported explosion at the Aerojet facility off Folsom Blvd in Rancho
“At approximately 8:21 a.m. this morning, the Sheriff’s Department received a call from the Sacramento Metro Fire Department requesting assistance with a possible explosion at Aerojet Rocketdyne on Aerojet Road,” Sacramento Sheriff’s Department said in a press release Tuesday afternoon. (more…)

Patricia Mcdonald, Age 87, missing from Curtis Park
The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating missing 87-year-old Patricia Mcdonald. Patricia is missing from her home in Curtis Park. Friends and family state that she normally checks in and was last heard from on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Friends checked her home and found that she and her vehicle were missing.
Patricia is a white female, 5 feet 6 inches, weighing 100 pounds, with green eyes and grey hair. It is unknown what she was last wearing. Her vehicle is a grey 2000 Toyota Camry 4D and the license plate is 4JRE510. (more…)

Deputy Jeffrey Mitchell – End of Watch: October 27, 2006
In the early morning hours of Friday, October 27, 2006, Deputy Jeffrey Mitchell was patrolling a rural area of Sacramento County near Meiss and Dillard Roads. At about 3:30 a.m., Deputy Mitchell contacted Sheriff’s dispatch from his vehicle computer saying he was going to stop a white Chevrolet van that he was following. The van did not have a rear license plate. A few minutes later Dispatch tried to reach Deputy Mitchell to check on his welfare. No response was received from Deputy Mitchell. Immediately other patrol vehicles were dispatched to the location of the vehicle stopped made by Deputy Mitchell. (more…)

A fatal light rail train vs pedestrian incident has occurred near Downtown Sacramento.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Sac Fire crews, medics and SacPD were dispatched to the area of 12th Street and North B for a report of an RT involved incident. According to radio reports, when crews arrived a person was trapped under the train and was soon pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics. (more…)
City trash truck hits bicyclist in Midtown
Allegedly, a City of Sacramento trash truck was traveling northbound on 21st St. A bicyclist was also traveling northbound on the west side of 21st.
Just a few blocks from Brown’s Sacramento residence the trash truck turned west onto Capitol Ave. from 21st Street, striking the bicyclist as he was traveling.
This on the heels of the new three-foot passing law, AB1371, coming into effect shortly for California motorists. Governor Brown signed the new bill into law this past September. (more…)
