VALLEY…MAINLY OVER THE WESTERN PORTIONS. PATCHES OF DENSE FOG WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH THE MID-MORNING HOURS. AREAS PRIMARILY AFFECTED BY
THE FOG INCLUDE…STRETCHES OF INTERSTATE 5 EXTENDING FROM SOUTH OF
REDDING TO NEAR WOODLAND AND FROM TRACY SOUTHWARD…INTERSTATE 505 FROM
THE JUNCTION WITH INTERSTATE 5 TO VACAVILLE…AND INTERSTATE 80 FROM
AROUND DAVIS TO FAIRFIELD. MORNING COMMUTERS ARE ADVISED TO BE ALERT
FOR SUDDEN CHANGES IN VISIBILITY AND SLOW DOWN IF DENSE FOG IS
ENCOUNTERED!

Dry Conditions and Increased Fire Activity Lead to Burning Suspension
Sacramento – California’s increased fire activity, coupled with the current weather forecast for continued heightened fire danger, has prompted CAL FIRE to suspend all burning permits and open fire within the State Responsibility Area of California. The Burn Ban suspends all residential burn permits, forest management, hazard abatement, and other industrial-type permitted burning within the 31 million acres of State Responsibility Area. Elk Grove, CA | An, at risk, 15 year old girl is missing in the Elk Grove area. Search teams have been deployed. Inclement weather and medical conditions are major concerns.

A 15 year old girl, with medical issues, is missing in the Elk Grove area. She has been missing since Friday evening. Cosumnes Fire, Elk Grove PD and CERT have deployed search teams to the Hood area conducting a house to house search for the girl. Read more »
