Many neighborhoods celebrated "National Night Out" Tuesday night. In Oak Park we caught up with Cactus Ray (affectionately known as the Mayor of Oak Park) whom the community presented with a certificifate of Outstanding Community Service. SacPD stated in a press release, "On Tuesday, August 7, 2012, residents throughout Sacramento will join neighborhoods across the nation in celebrating the 29th Annual National Night Out. Over 70 neighborhoods throughout the City of Sacramento are planning events such as block parties, BBQs, ice cream socials, and other neighborhood social activities. These events allow neighbors to get to know one another, so that together, they can fight to keep crime out of their neighborhoods.
