A juvenile is cuffed and put in the back of a patrol car in relation to alleged home burglary.

Florin, Sacramento, CA | A group of juveniles were apprehended in the area of alleged home burglary.

Deputies investigate drive-by shooting incident

North Highlands, Sacramento, CA | Deputies investigate drive-by shooting in northern Sacramento neighborhood.

Early Wednesday morning, 10 gunshots rang out in the area of  Rosario and El Oro Streets. A house and 3 cars were shot at which woke up the neighborhood. No injuries occurred. The Sheriff’s Department  was on scene investigating for several hours.

Sacramento, CA | Fugitive wanted by US Marshals and parolee at large apprehended after brief pursuit, crash and search.

A K9 officer spotted  known and wanted federal fugitive, Daniel Kapustin, Monday morning in the Arden-Arcade area. Sacramento Sheriff Sergeant, Mike Rogers stated that a brief pursuit took place. Read more »

Sacramento, CA | After eluding deputies, K9 and a CHP helicopter Saturday morning, deputies apprehend the suspect in the afternoon.

A suspect SSD had been attempting to apprehend all day in the south area was apprehended Saturday afternoon.

The suspect was later identified as Renell Thorpe and is being held on $1.6 million bail and charged with kidnap to commit another crime, Oral copulation by force, penetration by foreign object, assault with intent to commit rape, false imprisonment, first degree robbery, and violation of parole. Thorpe has an extensive criminal resume in Sacramento dating back to 1998 according to county records.  Read more »
