Auto vs Pedestrian downtown

News_100920_AutoPed_3rdSt at Captial_Mav-3.JPGSacramento, CA | A pedestrian is struck down off Capital Mall
Late Monday morning, a pedestrian was hit by the driver of a mini van on 3rd Street at Capital Mall. A witness and area office employee (who did not want to be identified) stated that she wished police would do a sting operation in the area. She stated that she constantly watches cars run red lights and almost hit pedestrians every day.
While this was reported as an Auto/Ped with critical injuries, Paramedic radio report revealed that the pedestrian only suffered a head laceration and some road rash; he also had no recollection of the incident. The victim was transported to UC Davis Medical Center.
