Sacramento, CA | The victim of a DelPaso Heights shooting declared dead at the hospital early Monday morning.
A shooting occurred at the apartments in the 2500 block of Traction Ave early Monday morning. The victim of the shooting was transported to the hospital where he was then declared dead. Per SacPD’s (A) Lt. Norm Leong, the motive of the homicide is unknown however there were many witnesses.
Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators arrived to interview witnesses and collect evidence.

South Sacramento, CA | Firefighters quickly extinguished a debris fire in front of a South Sacramento home Wednesday morning.

Fire in front of South Sacramento home under investigation.
Sacramento City Fire responded to a report of a structure fire early Wednesday morning in the 2100 block of Bernard Way. When firefighters arrived, they found a debris fire next to the front porch of the residence and quickly extinguished the blaze. The fire was reported by a neighbor who came home and saw the flames. The witness attempted to wake the residents to no avail by banging on their window. He stated that the flames were 8 to 10 feet high and lit up the whole front of the house. There were no injuries and no obvious damage to the home. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
