Sacramento, CA | Downtown police on patrol catch a suspicious subject to find out he burglarized a local wireless phone store.
Late Monday night, downtown officers spotted a man running with a purse in his hand and a mask pulled part way over his face. Officers gave chase, the subject dropped the purse he was carrying and he was captured a couple of blocks away on the corner of L St. and 4th St. Read more »

Sacramento, CA | When a Sac State campus officer attempts to make a vehicle stop, the female driver takes off leading officers on a long pursuit.
Late Sunday night, Sac State PD attempted a vehicle stop and when the vehicle fled they discovered it was stolen and gave chase. SacPD took the pursuit over which went all through the South Sac, Freeport, South Landpark, Pocket and Delta regions. Read more »

SacCity Firefighters contain two alarm residential blaze that impacted two homes.
Sacramento CA | A two alarm fire impacted two neighboring homes Friday afternoon in the 6100 block of 2nd Ave.
The resident of a home that caught fire in Tahoe Park at 6201 2nd Ave. Friday was not home as the entire back side of his home and heavy shrubs around the home went up in flames. The blaze also caught the home to the west on fire and caused moderate damage to the east and and back side of that home. Capt. Burges of the Sacramento Fire Department stated that on the second home the fire was contained to the attic. Read more »

Sacramento Police are investigating an early morning Car Accident involving an SUV full of passengers that left the the freeway overpass and crash landed onto X Street at 28th. Several passengers were taken via ambulance to the hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to critical.
SacMav has learned that police have discovered a gun and believe that some of the passengers are confirmed gang members and one may have a gunshot wound to the arm according to Sacramento Police Spokesman Norm Leong.

Sacramento, CA| Local transient fled the scene when his fire burned out of control Tuesday evening.

Sac City Firefighters battle an uphill blaze that originated from a transients camp fire.
Aprox 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, SacCity Fire was called to a vegetation fire between the Sacramento River and the bike path off Jiboom by the water treatment plant. On arrival, firefighters found a blaze burning upsloap from the beach area toward the bike path. The fire was brought under control quickly. Witnesses in the area saw a transient leaving the scene. He’s described as a white male, mid 30′s to to early 40′s, aprox 5’8″ and dark brown shoulder length hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a small dirty red backpack. SacPD Officer Gunville and area Park Rangers had detained a couple of potential suspects, however they proved not to be the suspect and were immediately released. The suspect was last seen fleeing the area running south on the bike trail from the water treatment plant area. If you have information or see anyone in the area matching this description, you are urged to call the Sacramento Police Department or Sac City Fire.
