Americans in Sacramento wave flags in celebration of bin Ladin's death (click this image to view more photos)
Sacramento, CA | A crowed of patriots gathered in front of the California State Capitol Sunday night to celebrate the death of Osama bin Ladin.
Shortly after the announcement of bin Ladin’s death, a crowed began to assemble and grow in front of the California State Capitol building. Some celebrators waved flags, others wore patriotic clothing and all let their voices be heard as they chanted “U. S. A., U. S. A.”
The crowed spontaneously broke out in renditions of “God bless the USA” and other patriotic songs.

Sacramento, CA | One victim was shot Friday evening in the same apartment complex where a homicide took place several months ago.
A shooting has occurred in the 2400 block of Marconi, in the same apartment complex where a homicide took place just a few months ago. unofficial reports are that one victim was shot several times and transported to the hospital via paramedics in unknown condition.

Motorcycle crashes through a Subway Sandwich storefront (click this image to view more photos of this incident)
Citrus Heights, Sacramento, CA | A motorcycle rider gets cut off and crashes through the glass storefront of a sandwich shop.
In Citrus Heights, California SacMetro firefighters and CHP officers arrive at Subway Sandwich in the 9700 block of Fairoaks Blvd to find a motorcycle has crashed through the storefront. Bystanders stated that the motorcyclist was cut off by a vehicle in the parking lot. When the rider lost control, the motorcycle throttled up and crashing between two parked cars and launched through the storefront.
The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and refused transport to the hospital.

Bullet casings found at homicide marked for evidence in deadly South Natomas shooting.
South Natomas, Sacramento, CA | Two brothers shot in a strip mall parking lot. One dead on scene, the other transported to hospital in unknown condition.
At 4:45 Thursday evening, per Sgt. Norm Leong, Public Information Officer for the Sacramento Police Department, after receiving several 911 calls, officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting in the area of Northgate Boulevard and San Juan Road. Read more »

Rosemont, Sacramento, CA | Lack of working smoke detectors nearly cost family members their lives in an apartment kitchen fire early Thursday morning.
A kitchen fire breaks out in an apartment with no working smoke detectors. A Marine (just home from Afghanistan), kicks the door in and he and friends attempt rescues. Two occupants (a child and adult) were found unconscious and another child was attempting to break out the back bedroom window to escape. Read more »
